M. R. Mehkari has over 43 years of International and Domestic Banking experience in all banking dimensions including operations, credit, treasury, fund management and investment banking. Last key position was the President and Chief Executive of Askari Bank Limited (2008 to 2013). He started his career from UBL, Served BCCI, and then joined Askari Bank in 1992. He also headed Foreign Exchange Function of State Bank of Pakistan; represented Pakistan on International Bodies and Forums, introduced number of progressive initiatives to improve the foreign Exchange Regime.
